I passed this up a long time ago, but the progression into uncharted territory demonstrated on their two subsequent offerings made me appreciate this a bit more. Black metal in its soul, this album strays from the genre enough to please those us of who veer more towards old school thrash, speed, and traditional metal.

Crushing, devastating, dark, quite filthy and very very heavy. The guitar tone alone seems to weigh as much as Mount Everest and it flows like lava and rolls like a tank. Short: this is perfect.

This album has quickly turned into one of my favorites since I discovered it earlier this year. It reminds me of some crazy bastard child of Timeghoul and Deathhammer, with the aggressive shouted vocals of Discharge.
